Our story
Malta's first Filipino restaurant.
What started as a leap of faith between friends became a home away from home for Filipinos in Malta, and a first taste of the Philippines for everyone else.
How it all began
Pinoy Street Food opened in 2018 as a small restaurant in Marsaskala. It was an experiment, a leap of faith taken by a Maltese–Filipino couple and their friends.
We had two goals. The first was to give the growing Filipino community in Malta a real taste of home. The second was to introduce Filipino food and culture to Malta. We became the first Filipino restaurant in the country.
In 2019 we moved to is-Suq tal-Belt, the restored market in the heart of Valletta, so we would be more central and easier to reach. We have been cooking there ever since.

Today
A taste of home
We serve home-style Filipino cooking to walk-in guests every day, with delivery on Bolt Food.
What we stand for
We keep it casual and authentic. This is the cooking we grew up with, served the way it would be at home.
- Generous portions: nobody leaves hungry.
- Good prices: proper food you can enjoy any day of the week.
- Fresh ingredients: cooked fresh in our kitchen.
- Authentic flavours: from sinigang and bulalo to sisig and halo-halo.
Meet our sister restaurant, BAP
Pinoy Street Food is all about casual, home-style Filipino cooking. BAP, from the same company, takes a different approach: a more refined restaurant serving both Filipino and Korean cuisine at 38 St Zachary Street, Valletta.
